Worship at Holy Cross is by and large taken from the Lutheran Service Book. Our early service (8:15am) follows Divine Service Setting 1, while the second service (10:30am) generally follows Divine Service Setting 2. Setting 3 is used for both services during the season of Lent.
Communion is celebrated every Sunday that it is possible to do so. After all, we see our time on Sundays not as merely worship - something we offer to God - but as a Divine Service, a service that God himself does for us. He gives us anew every Sunday both the gift of his Word and of his own body and blood in the Sacrament.
We hope you can join us on Sunday Morning in worshipping our God and receiving the gifts he has for you, as well.
VBS and Sojourners Picture Slideshows!
Check out all the fun and excitement that was had this year at Holy Cross' Vacation Bible School and Sojourners Camp! Our kids definitely had a lot of fun (as you can see on the videos) and also learned a lot about their Savior Jesus and what it means to follow him. Thanks for all of your prayers and support for these programs!

Ministry for Children
We have many exciting things going on for our children to grow up in God's Word as they grow up in body and mind. Every Sunday we have Sunday School at 9:15am for children of all ages. Singing, crafts, games, and of course learning about Jesus, are all a part of our Sunday School program.
During the summer, too, we have our Vacation Bible School, where kids both inside and outside of the congregation come together to learn about just how much God loves them (as well as having a bit of fun, too). Also during the summer is our Sojourners program, a unique, almost "camp" experience where some of the older kids spend the night at the church for a few days, going out into the community during the day to do various service projects. It is really a rewarding experience, not only for those served, but also for the ones doing the serving.
Youth Ministry (The Crew)
Our youth, who call themselves "the Crew," are a vital part of Holy Cross. From providing leadership during our VBS and Sojourners to serving in the community to just hanging out and having fun, youth ministry is a great way for our teens to build the solid foundation in the Word of God that they need for the rest of their lives.
Besides meeting on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour for Bible Study, during the school year, our youth meet mid-week to get that much-needed recharge in God's Word. The Crew hangs out together, serves together, and grows together into the people God has called them to be. This year, they are particularly excited about the upcoming National Youth Gathering to be held in New Orleans Summer of 2010.

College Ministry
Just because you've graduated from High School doesn't mean you've graduated from God's Word. Pulling from the various colleges and universities in the area, our college group - led by the college students themselves - meets regularly during the school year to study the Word and hang out and have fun with other Christians.

Adult Ministry
You may be grown-up, but that just means you have more experience to bring to the table. The longer we live in our fallen world, the more we realize that we truly do need God's guidance, direction, and most of all, his grace. Our various Adult Bible Studies offer numerous opportunities to dig into God's Word and discover all three.
Sunday morning's Sunday School hour is not just for the kids. We also offer three different opportunities for adults to study the Scriptures as well, one in our fellowship hall, one in our library, and another in one of the classrooms. Each has something different to offer, so no matter what you're looking for, there should be something for you.
During the week, if you find the need to dig into God's Word between Sundays, then you're in luck. During the Spring and Fall, Tuesday evenings brings with it Lifelight Bible Studies - studies that challenge you to really dig into God's Word. For those who prefer less out-of-class preparation, though, our Vicar offers a Bible Study on Wednesday mornings. So please, come and be fed with God's Word!
